Sophisticated and Soulful

My primary goal when I design is to create sophisticated and soulful spaces by “keeping it real”. No matter the style – contemporary or traditional – French or Italian, I like to use real products – hand-painted art, pewter, brass, silver, iron, wood, real floral and plants. Keeping it real allows for an authentic sophistication that cannot be achieved using resin and mass produced art. There is so much of that available today in our throw away society of mass-produced design.

I prefer to use and reuse things that have existed for a long time, or new products that have the class and quality to last generations. “Real design” creates soulful living spaces that you grow with instead of grow tired of. It achieves the best look and it supports something lasting and not wasteful. Over the years I have compiled a wonderful list of resources that I buy from for clients that create beautiful new pieces – from light fixtures to door hardware to furniture – that will stand the design test of time.
